Larrabee Village provides independent, secure living with optional services for residents age 62 and over. Built in 1997, there are 150 one-bedroom apartments with a living room, bedroom, bath, and kitchen facilities. Amenities include an inner courtyard for resident-gardeners, computer center, beauty-barber shop, library, and large community room. An activities coordinator keeps Larrabee Village residents as active as they want to be.
The Southern Maine Agency on Aging (SMAA) provides optional services such as meal management, homemaking, and personal care—with the cost determined by income.
